They used to call this a Dendrobium, but they have changed it to Dockrillia. I have bloomed it before, but recently it was attacked by scale and i'd thrown it under my pitcher plant for a rest. I decided to check and see how it was doing...and it was in bloom. lol Darn plants are sneaking blooms on me now!
Beautiful Connie. Ours is in bloom now too.
cheers,

Love this
Love this species but never seen this around here except the hybrid. Wish I can get one!!
Hybrids?? Hmm...this one does so well I'd be interested in a hybrid or two. I'll have to do some research... If you were stateside i'd send you a couple p-bulbs. This one grows slowly, but is a cool thing when it blooms out. Maybe you will run into one someday...i'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
What a remarkable thing . When I looked at the plant the thought which crossed my mind was why dendrobium - but looking at the flower I thought New Guinea antelope type. I have seen the name, but not the plant before. Glad to meet you Dockrillia wassellia, and thanks for the introduction Connie.
Very nice!!!
Pretty!
Wonderful bloom, Connie!
Very beautiful !! Had never seen one before. I must get one if it does so well in warm climates.
