    Alex, I am sorry for such a late response!
    Thanks to you and to everyone who wished all the best to my plant. I was able to save it. One division of my plant is doing OK so far (keep my fingers crossed). You can see both divisions on the following pictures. The one on the right died long time ago; I just did not have time to clean the pot)

    C. dowiana is such a special Cattleya and not the easiest to grow
    Congrats on the blooming and well done you should be proud of yourself.

    I have 6 different clones of C. dowiana. Four of them recently produced sheaths but only two "decided" to bloom.
    C. dowiana aurea, first bloom. I purchased the plant as a seedling three or four years ago. There were three buds on the spike but I accidentally broke one bud and the second one was eaten by some insects. Anyway, it's blooming!



    Together with C. dowiana (Panama) which opened four days later

    Wow. good collection of dowiana. congrats on the bloom natali. have not seen this many variants. sad we don't get these here.
