Have you had a go with dried banana skins cut up small and sprinkled on your orchids? I put the skins in the oven once I have finished cooking and once they are dry I cut them up and put them in a jar. I put a few bits in when I pot up my orchids. The bits also go round my roses.
They all seem to like it.

I can get viraya rhododendrons to grow in the same area of the garden even with the odd frost we get. I think I will put you on my friends list.
I cannot tell if moving them would be a nice idea, but I surely would like to see how thy are growing on trees and on tree ferns. It sounds very natural and we always enjoy mounted pics!
