Exclamation Not sure what the white marks on the Phal orchid roots are!

I took a good look at the outside roots (on top of the pot) and on some of the drier ones, i'm seeing white fuzzy lines or white spots on some. I also noticed a light sort of spider web near the base of the plants which i wiped away. I don't see any insects but i'm concerned about pests. I am about to report the orchid soon once I get the soil mixture and a new pot. Please advise. Thanks so much!

Welcome to OT ! It would be of great help if you post a photo of what you see, then it will be easier for us to make a diagnosis.

Hi, this is a test. The attached pic shows a 4.25 and a 5 in pot.....which would be better for repotting? If pic works, will attach the others. Thanks for your patience

Hello again , your pic came out good but I don't see (personally) anything wrong with the plant at first glance . The roots look healthy and green and the leaves look good to me . Maybe your next pic should be of what you think might be looking like a problem . As for the pot size , the one on the right looks kinda big but the one on the left looks smaller than what it is in now . What size is it in already? From what I have read, some people say if it can go back into the original pot after you remove the existing media , you can use that one again , but if you only have these two pots available then I guess I would go with the bigger one . Hopefully the more experienced guys on here will have more to advise you on this one .

Thank you Yvonni, I ordered a set of pots since there are none to be found in my area in stores and you never know what you get until you receive them. I could always put some peanut packing into the bottom and sides of the bigger pot if needed. I will upload the other pics to show you the spots. Thank you so much.
