Would anyone have a photo of Lc Blue Korat? I have had mine from a seedling since 10/2009. The chid. is looking very healthy, but I have tried to find a photo of it, with no success. Could anyone help.

Very interesting indeed, Roy. That seems to be the only picture of Blue Korat. Wonder if that's the actual colour .
I'd suggest its a little different as the plant looks a funny color also. The flower should be bluish though.
The name "Blue Korat" has not been registered with the RHS. I would guess the plant is from Thailand, and it's likely the name won't be registered.
This tag was attached to orchid. when purchased. I looked at RHS, correct no registration, only Cat. Korat. So I'm sure that the colour will be correct, but, why no registration? Prob. originally imported from Taiwan. But does this mean, the orchid cannot be shown at any Orchid Shows, because it is not registered? What do you think, Michael/Roy/Catttan.

Had another look around, imo, it could be a form of Lc. Blue Boy or hybrid thereof, Lc. Blue Grotto has a strong resemblance to this ( allowing for the poor pic )
You beat me. A "buy in - sell out" nursery with very few knowledgable orchid growers on staff now. I know the place well & see the labels on stuff for sale, makes the hair stand on end. ( so do the prices )
The trend in the US is to be as inclusive as possible in orchid shows, so in general it could be shown. Without a valid name or parents, it would not be considered for AOS judging.
Had a relook at the pics I found & I'd be 90% sure this is Rth. Blue Grotto, possibly with "Korat" as the clonal name but as often happens, someone didn't copy the name correctly.
Lc. Blue Korat appears as m/clones/seedlings in a few o/seas nursery lists also but no pics.
