I had just been talking about this plant in another thread, only bloomed once for me the first year i had, it after several years I ripped it out of the pot and threw it up in a tree in backyard. Went out the other morning and lo and behold it had a bloom. If i knew that all I had to do was talk about it to get plants to bloom I could have saved a lot of money on fertilizer.
How cool!! Glad it bloomed so quickly for you.
cheers,
BD
That is cool! Can I see a pic of the entire plant, please, I'm just curious to know what it looks like.
Beautiful Epi! I love them. Had one for ages and lost it during a move..."lost it" as in someone left it out to fry before realizing its sad fate.

Someone on here sent me a few cuttings awhile back and when it bloomed recently I was thrilled. I have seen them attached to trees here (probably from someone originally throwing one up into the branches), and while they look cool, I would imagine the tree trimmers hate them. lol
Ed...outstanding!
Ill try to get a pic of it later today, it has grown into a huge mass with my elk horn fern
here is a pic of the orchid cactus plant, the stag horn (I don't know why I said elk horn earlier) fern is on lower left of tree the orchid cactus is coming out of the right top. It has grown to the ground , in fact the bloom was almost dragging on the ground, I guess I'll have to cut it back. Excuse the messy yard but working 6 days a week, all the storms we've had and 3 dogs is hard to keep up.
Thanks for the pic, now I know I've see it here. Now I just have to get my hands on it, I love to see the plants just going nuts in their adopted environments, it means that they are happy.
If you do decide to cut it back, would you be willing to keep a cutting for me? That is just gorgeous!!!!
