Default Different flowers on the same Phal plant

I discovered today that two of the flowers that recently opened are different than the rest. It is so weird. I've never seen anything like that before. They look peloric to me. Any ideas what might have caused it?

The odd one certainly looks Peloric, but quite pretty.
Do you happen to have the name of the Hybrid Phal. and the name of the cross? If we knew that, then we might be able to see from where the colouration came (?)

Well, there was no name tag when I got it but it looks very much like Phal Irene's Fire. I would even say, that it is Irene's fire

Do not worry Aneta, this is a case of transient pelorism, read my article on Orchid flower ABCs in the article section and you will understand this phenomenon much better. Such things can happen due to environmental changes, stress or simply imbalance of certain hormones. If you have been spraying your orchids with some fertilizers with growth regulators it can happen.

Thanks Amey I use a fertilizer every so often so that probably is what caused transient pelorism. It looks weird but is amazing at the same time.

    BTW great article
