Sadly my ability to grow is limited by my 3 good windows ,but I have managed to cram more than 30 in those windows.
Wow. I've just read everyone's posts. I've got to catch up with you guys (I only have about 21). Although, I am at a disadvantage because I live in the N.E. in a 1 BR apt with very little sun. I have purchased plant lights. I also filled my employer's window ledge at the office with all my orchids. LOL I run an unadvertised orchid clinic at work. People bring me their ailing orchids (or I pick them up from the trash) to bring back to life. so far, I believe I've been doing a pretty good job of it. Oh, ahem, I neglected to mention that I have other lower light plants -- both at home and at the office. I have 15 plants at work on my desk's ledge (which surrounds my desk on three sides. And, at home, I have about 40 plants with lights in my living room. Yep!!! It's truly addictive. I'm currently growing some coleus from seed in a pot inside a Ziploc bag. I also am in the habit of throwing seeds from any seeds I eat into a pot of soil; watering them; and forgetting about them (oranges, lemons, tamarinds, avocados). It's always a lovely surprise to see them come up. Plant away, everyone.
