    Yes great color and very thick texture. So far from the "wild type violacea" that we saw in past years. I'm not sure that these new violacea are pure ones (a little drop of pulchra ?).

    So fantastic to have so many blooms at once - congrats, Eric! I have a phal tagged "Phal violacea, var. coerulea" It has only a faint blush of pink/purple overlaying a cream/green background.     Yes Maura, it is a Phal. violacea var. coerulea. An "old fashion" one (versus the new ones, Norton type), as I like them.
