Thanks Bruce, it is a tiny plant but I was told it is an avid bloomer.
They are amazing little plants. Mine is recovering from bugs right now under a bamboo tree. But it still blooms away over there. lol They are tough and wonderful little plants for certain!
Love this one! Beautiful!
i like these. i have one that was doing really well last summer, and then i brought it in for the winter, and it hardly grew. it tried, but the growths were tiny (even smaller than normal...) and hardly bloomed. i put it back outside this spring and it is doing much better this summer again. it was placed with a ton of other oncidium intergenerics, and is the only one that suffered over the winter. i am going to leave it outside this year. outside, each new growth produced 2 spikes, and 2 new growths each after the flowers. inside, i got very few flowers, and almost no new growths until i stuck it back outside. what did grow was about 2" long total. pbulb and leaf, and would have 1 or 2 flowers. normally the plant is about 8" tall overall, with 4" pot. but it is recovering quickly now. i have tried to get more info and research the hybrid, and it's progenitors to see if it is cold hardy for california, but have found articles saying yes and no, and some list different parent plants which was confusing. so i'm just gonna try it. i have a sheltered balcony. we'll see. when they are happy, they bloom their brains out every couple months.
Thanks for the info cueroleo
