In the abscence of other criteria, I say go for the Gongora. That way the hybrid's blooms would be more likely to be longer-lived. But that's just in the abscence of other criteria . . .

I have a Leaudemanniana pescatorea blooming and am thinking about either trying to cross it with a Gongora or a Stanhopea. Any opinions?

I also have another Polycycnis barbata in spike which I will try to pollinate my Gongora chocoensis with. that way I can name the species Polygon!

Too bad I won't be the one naming the genus. Those Royal bastards!!!!! I have about 5 hybrids that I could name but I just can't see sending them money to do so.
