My Prosthechea boothiana seems to take well draught and full sun. I left it on my roof all summer. Now that it is getting colder there are 4 new growth from the 2 pseudo bulbs of the division it came as. it is on a 1 inch pot, basically no medium, just some clay. i need to take a photo and post it. It would be good mounted i suspect, if you have some good humidity. It comes from a region where Brassavola nodosa is endemic.

Five seed pods on two flower spikes...the third spike was the only one with no pollinated flowers. As the sun sets, it lights up the seed pods. I can't wait for them to ripen so I can dust the local trees with the seeds. It is a Florida native and I'd love to be able to see the growing on the trees someday.

A fine effort on your part Connie. You may well end up with some wild 'chids'. AL

really nice. I would sprinkle also some on live moss. maybe it needs more humidity. I sprinkled some seeds of Bletilla striata on live moss (that came on carnivorous plants) that i keep moist in a pot with peat moss sitting on a saucer and I have seedlings most likely of the hardy orchid. And I would sprinkle some seeds in some orchid pot that grows warm and moist...

Send a pod to Dorset lol! That IS a lovely one, I remember seeing one that was more of an off-white.
On second thought, send a pod to Amey also- he can hybridize with it! j/k

I have wondered about spreading seed in resurrection fern, since the magnoliaes (conopseums) always seem to be associated with it?

We have a local tree with resurrection fern...hmm. I may try some there...it also happens to have lots of Enc. tampense as well.
