No photo, I'm afraid, of my desolate grow area. We just packed every single one of them, and the bonsais as well, off to our favorite nursery where I think they will miss us not at all!
Setting off for Maine early tomorrow morning, ETA sometime Sunday. Although this an annual tradition for us, this year is truly special: we'll be celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary (yikes). They enjoyed about 14 months of couple time just after they were married before I showed up, poor souls. I don't think my mom has recovered from the trauma yet.
I'll post photos of the trip as soon as I have some worth viewing.

Amey told everything.
Have a safe trip, Maura. Please pass on the congratulations from our community on their 50 years together! Pretty amazing.
cheers,
BD
have a great time on your trip and congratulation on 50th anniversary to your parents Maura
A whole month??? *OW*
I went without mine for two weeks; that was bad enough. Okay, so I DID take two compots with me. They were too little to leave behind. Orchids--don't leave home without them!
Definitely kudos to your parents for having made it this far. In a country where one half of all marriages fail, they're a shining star of hope.
Wow "Half Century" that is wonderful what a great example for today's youth, congratulations are in order as BD mentioned and well deserve trip.
Great tradition Maura. Say hello and convey our congratulations to your parents from my wife and I (we celebrated our 50 anniversary last year). Stay safe both you and Philip and enjoy yourselves.
Safe travels, happy party with your parent, if you need a restoring cup of tea after passing through Boston let me know I'm a mile east of I93 and a mile west of Route 1, but you already know that. In the meantime I'll be sending you and your orchids good thoughts from atop my hill. - martha
