I hung this plant over by the vandas at the beginning of the summer. I thought it would be too much sun, but until the last couple weeks the leaves were doing just fine. I moved it a few feet away to a shadier corner and it threw out a new spike and buds on the old two spikes right away. The heavy substance to the flowers means they will be in bloom for at least a couple months.

not much of a phal person, but this one could turn me, nice job
Beautiful! Orchid World is a very famous phalaenopsis. At one time it was the most awarded phalaenopsis ever, with 108 awards. That still may be the case. They are well known for good color, flower shape and flower size. The only drawback is they don't produce a lot of flowers. They do re-bloom on old spikes from previous years though. I have a different cultivar of Orchid World and I absolutely love it. Mine is a very slow growing and temperamental plant. Your's looks much stronger and well grown. Congratulations, I think it's a wonderful orchid.
Connie, is yours fragrant? Many of them are.
Such a pretty one. Congratulations. I am working at our annual orchid show and sale today. Will definately look for this one. We are haveing a great show with some awesome vendors present hope this one is among their offerings. So far my damage has been done with buying phrags.
A lovely phal. Just wish it had more flowers. I nearly killed mine but have managed to keep 2 keikis from the old flower spike alive. They seem to be happier mounted on driftwood.
Very nice orchid. It looks more species like to me, thouh of course I know it's not. AL
