    Default Phalaenopsis bellina

One of the orchids I bought at the show in Barcelona (October 12th).
This one has bloomed before. I wonder how long it will take before I see a new flower on it. I hope I'll be able to keep her alive that long. Don't have much experience with species. I'm quite successfull with my NoId phals.

These are some of the others that came home with me as well

I don't know the cross of the cattleya, but she smelled gorgeous, the Dendrobium nobile is a species (never had one, wonder what the difference with hybrids will be), the Miltonidium Bartley Schwarz smells heavenly as well.

Beautiful orchids! Looks like you made out quite well! I have a couple of bellinas (one of them was the very first species phal I ever bought!), and if you're looking to compare them to NOIDs, I'd say the biggest difference is the rate of growth. I've got TONS of NOIDs, and they grow way faster than my species phals. Don't be surprised if your bellina just sort of sits around and does nothing for a while...that's pretty par for the course with species phals. But if you've got the culture down pat with your NOIDs, I don't think you'll have any problem at all with caring for your bellina. You'll know what to do.

Congrats on your new plants! Gorgeous!

I have to tell you that I am absolutely IN LOVE with your Miltonidum. It's like a more graceful version of the oncidium Sharry Baby. While I love the fragrance of my Sharry, I'm not super-thrilled with the form of the spiky little flowers. Yours are so pretty! You say the flowers are fragrant? What do they smell like? I've got some serious orchid envy going on over here with that Miltonidum!
