Angela, that is gorgeous! Sometimes those keowee give you two or three flowers, but when it's only one the flower is sooo much larger. I enjoy these...they can light up an entire room with their cheery yellow. So pretty...

Very pretty! Interesting flower.
Beautiful. Love this variety.
Gosh - one HUGE flower!! Congratulations on blooming such a lovely cattleya orchid!
cheers,
BD
Angela - how beautiful!!!!! Any fragrance? I have not been on OT to see the new orchids posted, because it's complicated to get the right software on my tablet - but I happened across yours this morning - as I sit on the front porch of our beachhouse in Rincon, Puerto Rico, looking west across the Caribbean and thinking I have died and gone to heaven. We are here until the end of January and it will be extremely difficult to leave!
Thanks Maura
Yes, there is a fragrance (I just had to go and give it a sniff) not sure if it is stronger in the evening, but a nice fragrance.
Is this your first warm Christmas? Hope you enjoy. I am sure while there you will be collecting for a large shipment of new 'chids to take back home.
Have a Blessed and happy Season.
Hi Angela -
Thank you! You know, I have not really located where the orchid places are around here yet, but I intend to! I may end up taking photos only, depending on how tricky it is to ship back to Georgia (and, of course, if I can make myself actually leave here. Yes, this is my first warm Christmas, and I'm delighted. Having grown up in New England, with the iconic Christmas scenery and weather, you might think I'd miss it - but I don't!
Angela, that is such a lovely bloom. I just love it. I almost bought one a few months back but decide on another variety. Now I am sorry I didn't get this one. Oh well here comes another order . LoL. It's all your fault!
What a little beauty! Wait - not "little" at all ... What a big beautiful orchid!!
