    Default Jewel orchids from Borneo

    I returned from Borneo tour a couple of weeks ago, and am slowly sorting through the pictures. Here are a few Jewel orchids I saw in the jungle.

    These three are found in Borneo Highlands, only plants, no bloom.

    Default Jewel orchids from Borneo - continue

    These are found around Mulu. Finally, found one that was blooming.

    Pic 3 is the plant of the flower (pic 4).

    Default Jewel orchids from Borneo - continue

    These are found in Sabah, Mt Kinabalu area.

    The pic 3 shows a colony of them, with pic 4 shows the flower of the plant. We tried really hard not to step on any while photographing.

    Got to love these. There foliage is so pretty and I am one of the few who love the flowers. Thanks for sharing. I have one and it is in bloom now. Would ove to find some of the ones you are showing. Beautiful!

    Silly me...I had no idea there was more than one jewel orchid. Wow... There are a few of those i'd love to try my hand at. I find them just amazingly beautiful.
