Mine was simply titled "Kieki Grow Plus". Small round vial that goes a long way. Update: I do see two small somethings on my phals, but this has been a long process taking many months.

Well time will pass whether I put keiki paste on my orchids or not! So... I can wait!

I saw growth within 2 weeks on all patients. Just little undifferentiated lumps, but they developed into identifiable growths within 3-4 weeks...either leaf-like or spike-like. It took a couple of months for the flower spikes to bloom, but about 4-5 months before the first keikis were ready to pot. The ones from the initial experiments (such as in the pic above) are 10 months old and spiking now. By the time they reach the 1-year mark, they will be blooming.

Read my earlier post--if you want more flower side-spikes, apply the paste to a still-actively-blooming spike. If you want keikis, wait until the flowers have dropped off the spike plus a couple of weeks. You want the plant to be in leaf-production mode. Apply paste to the finished spikes, and you will get keikis (leaf growth).

Keiki grow paste from different suppliers can vary a lot in hormone content and quality. If you bought the cheap stuff...

I went back in this thread and looked at when I started with the paste...I've had the same little pot of paste since early spring of '12...that's almost 3 years! It still works great, so it must have been very powerful stuff!

Each plant has its own preferences, but generally if you apply the paste to a node (remove the bract, first) more light gives blooms, less light gives keiki's.
