I've had it in the gravel and water for... forever now. Should I pot it in some soil? What would it like? It's doing fine in the water but I made the mistake of putting it by a window. A website said it likes full sun, my butt, the leaves turned transparent and burned. So... it's away from the sun now.
I bought my children some Lucky Bamboo a couple of years ago and they were doing SO well. I was pleased. My son started getting more crazy and knocked them over a few too many times I think. They are really not doing well now. I hope I can save them. I had to repossess them but ....
I think you should leave it in the gravel. Mine did GREAT in the gravel for a couple of years. Repacking them, I noticed the roots growing around the gravel. I have one that is 3 times the size of the other and the roots seem too large for the pot it's in. I am going to put it with more gravel in a larger pot. You could check the roots and see if they are crowded in the pot I think....
