    Default Paph. fairrieanum Culture

    Hello, everyone.

I just acquired a matrue Paph. fairrieanum (fairrieanum 'Red' x fairrieanum 'OZ' and was wanting to ask about some tips on how to care for it. I have read many online culture sheets, but they sometimes conflict with each other about light, water, etc.

Anyone know what conditions this orchid should be grown under?

How do you grow your plants? Inside, outside, or greenhouse?. I have 3 fairrieanum plants and all do very well. I grow mine inside under T5 fluorescent lights (4 light fixtures). Fairries don't seem to like to get hot, so grow generally a little cooler. They also don't like to dry out too much, but don't like soggy wet either.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I grow my orchids inside in the sunroom and on windowsills. Should I treat it the same way I do my other Paph species, filtered light, water twice a week?

I have an album fairrie seedling which is growing well indoors. I have it under a daylight bulb and I water when the medium is dryish. Good luck they are beautiful.
