What could be the cause?

I suspect mold. If there is no air circulation, the sweet dew on the blooms get moldy and turn brown. But, I could be wrong as you haven't supported your post with any pictures or ample description. Both would help!
Thank you for responding. Your guess is quite possible. Though I do have an overhead fan running 24/7, the placement of the cymbidiums might be too low to the ground in order to benefit from the air movement.
I appreciate “Gurj” and “Frauenshoe” for help replies you had done. Thanks for responding.
I am trying to attach a photo to my previous post.
Much better now, this is caused due to matter that settle on the petals. It's not mold, but for example, pollen/dust settling on the petals can attract moisture from the surrounding areas to condense around them giving them such appearance. It's not harmful, but keeping the area dry and proper air circulation can prevent this from happening. Eventually it can cause fungus to develop due to lingering moisture on the orchid.
