when my phals started having keikis I wonderded how long untill they will bloom
this winter I got my answer: 3 to 6 month, at least under my growing conditions
so here are a mama amd keiki together in bloom
and a keiki in bloom with the flowers thw same size as mama use to have
is the keiki blooming or just an extension off of old spike?
it is the keiki blooming
here is a detail of the photo so you will believe me
nice...It must be drawing it's strength from the mother plant!
Yes that is why mama didn't bloom too
in the first picture the white phal has a strong spike while the keiki has just 2 smaller blooms
there is s limited suply of strengthin a plant
Well done Andrea! I love phals and have only just got my first keiki! I was so excited when I saw it. All the info re this is great. Thank you and everyone!
