Dendrobium Season

Hello Katherine. Unfortunately they are all NOIDs. Though the dark one closely matches the Den. TG Blue and the striped one looks very much like the Den Yuan Stripe. It's confusing, especially since many of the nurseries keep developing new cultivars that look alike.

Thank you, Maura. I've had that one for years and it multiplies fast. I think there is one of that all over the garden, in different trees. I don't know its exact identity though.

Most of your dendrobiums are long lasting very beautiful good growing Angel.

Thanks Zainal. You are right, they are long lasting, usually for up to two months. Most of the vandas last only a fraction of that time.

I like that one a lot too, Gabirela. Now here is another dendrobium of mine that is similar but more on the green side and the petals are not wavy.

Though they have been hanging on for the longest time, these two have kept their color when all the rest have faded, shriveled, and dropped off. Just had to take another photo. The colors became more intense as the flowers got older.
