Default Rly. Rosella's Little Leopard 'HG'

This years flowering shows how maturity in a plant counts. 7 blooms on the spike this year, last 4 flowerings had 2 blooms.

Roy is "Rly" (Broughtonia x Cattleya x Rhyncholaelia)? I'm not at all familiar with this intergeneric - fascinating. Color and spots remind me a bit of Bc. Makai.

Correct to basics Maura. The Rly. is Rhyntonleya, Cattleytonia x Rhyncholaeliacattleya. It may have had a different name before the changes, can't remember what it was if it did.

Bc. Maikai, color to a degree but thats about all.

with Waianae Leopard as one parent I would have expected some spotting. The Cattleytonia parent is obviously more dominant

Ron, I would have thought so too about the spots but I've flowered one other that has more spots but far fewer the WL.
I have 2 more seedlings flowering (in bud) so we'll see what happens. The others I've seen aren't heavy on spots either.

Eggins does some interesting breeding. Seems to like breeding for spots as well. Ctna. Dal's Capri 'Calypso' X C. Caudebec 'Carmela' HCC/AOC looks interesting that he is offering for sale

I just bought a few seedlings from Allan & had trouble making up my mind what I would get. All his plants are great value, the size in 50mm tubes is excellent. ( not the first lot I've bought either). I think the cross you noted could be good but we are blessed? with lots of this type of crosses. I think one that will be outstanding is
Ctna. Dal's Capri 'Gift' X Bc. Dal's Charm 'Ebony'. I have enough of these types, rather get the highly colored & spotted clusters now.
