    Question Oncidiun Repotting

    Hi everyone.

It's been awhile since I've posted here. I don't know if you remember but I was an orchid killer. In fact, I killed two phal orchids and was pretty discouraged. You guys encouraged me to not give up so I ended up picking up an oncidium almost 2 years ago. It's growing well enough. I was going to repot it this spring, but I noticed there was a spike, which I'm so exited about.

My question is I was thinking of repotting it after it finishes flowering (which might be summer since it's still growing), would that be too late to repot? Or is it safe to repot it while that spike is growing? It's the first time this one has rebloomed so I really want to enjoy it.

    Thank you!

(Btw, I picked up a phal last year for my birthday, and it's began to rebloom as we speak. Guess I can't say I'm an orchid killer anymore. )

Congrats you ex-orchid killer...lol Yes, wait until after it blooms. Best time to repot is when active vegetative growth is happening. (developing new growth)
