Default Phal seedling with a spike

I just repotted a phal stuartiana due to a chance of bug infest. Upon repotting I notticed an enormous amount of healthy roots and the start of a flower spike.
I bought the plant as a small seedling from oak hill about 3 months ago and it is not even close to blooming size. Normally I would think he is blooming because he is sick and desperate but he is shiny and healthy as can be. He has a new leaf growing that is visibly bigger by the day and has wonderful roots. So I'm guessing he is healthy.
Has anyone here had a seedling phal bloom well before they were blooming size? This guy is about half the size he should be.

It is possible. Some phals bloom after a year or so. I am guessing some of the tiny ones they sell here are babies in bloom. They are too cute...

Common in the wild and even under our care for some species.
