Default Megaskepasma erythrochlamys (Brazilian Plume) and Etlingera elatior (Torch Ginger)

I always am amazed by how well my grandpa keeps his garden. I just had to stand beneath that beautiful Brazilian Plume and have my picture taken.

While on a trip to the University of the Philippines in Los Banos, province of Laguna.
Nestled among the blooms of a white species Mussaenda, and standing in front of a pink one.

    Creamy white and fragrant dendrobium.

Thank you, Yew Sung. I had to look good, I'm competing with such amazing flora. Hahahaha. By the way, would you know what kind of dendrobium that is? the fragrance was breathtaking.

Thank you, Pavel. We are blessed to live in such a place where plants like these thrive with minimal care. I share these blessings with Yew Sung and Zainal. Southeast Asia is truly a garden of Eden.

Hello Zainal and thank you. As far as I know, the torch ginger is used primarily for ornamental purposes only. I've never come across a native recipe with it as one of the ingredients. By the way, would you know what kind of dendrobium that is? You and Yew Sung are the experts at this.
