Default black spots on catt leaf

Could someone please tell me what these black spotty markings on my catt leaf are? Actually, 3 leaves are affected and look basically the same. When I picked this plant up today while deciding which of my orchids are ready for a repot, I found the problem then. I haven't noticed it in the recent past, but I could have simply overlooked it, of course.

    I would appreciate your help...

I keep coming back to this and it appears the whole plant is infected. i hope you have isolated it. I would pot it in a new clean pot cut the diseased leaves off with a razor blade or something disposable and get a systemic fungicide to treat it. I really don't know anything about virus/ fungus because i have been fortunate. but then, any port in a storm.

About the blooming. I would not worry about that until you get the plant healthy. It may only need a temperature adjustment to get it to bloom

    Hi Katherine,
It sat on my kitchen counter for awhile as I was trying to figure out what to do after reading members advice. I finally decided that since I'm not a pro, I might slip up and fail to treat it as it should be...so I tossed it because I didn't think trying to save it would be worth possibly infecting all (or some) of the orchids in my greenhouse.

I do have another question for future reference, please. If the entire plant seems to be infected, what is the purpose of cutting the visibly infected diseased leaves off? If all of the plant is infected, I would have assumed that similar diseased leaves would appear later ?? I feel that I'm just not interpreting your comments correctly, so please excuse me if that's the case.
Thank you for your advice. I need all the help I can get.
    Vicki

i don't know that it is a fungus. i could not find anything that looked like your leaves on-line. I was just suggesting a precaution. If other leaves are not affected then i was hoping that you might save the plant. But i do believe that tossing it is the better choice.
