    All mother plants die back, whether its a achema(stoloniferous pups) or one that produces basal pups (guzmania, some vriesa, neoreglias...)

    Ill show you guys something cool after I get back from work tomorrow... Putting my battery on the charger now!

    It's an Aechmea amicorum (which I finally found out after searching through a long list of bromeliads).

    I think this one is my favorite because of the branches. I have 5 or 6 different kinds of bromeliads that my husband bought as a lot, so I'm still trying to find out what kind they are

    i dont know about your bromilaids but my mother plants have had several years of sending out there pups, i know ill go take some picks of them there i got about 6 or 8 diferant ones
