Additional pictures. The tall man with grey hair is Mr Sundram ( I still address him as Mr Sundram) and at 84 is stlll ramrod straight and doesn't walk but 'stride', The women in the pix are my wife(the smaller one)and her sis. From the dining, sitting, bedrooms, kitchen, the garden just seem to 'flow' in.

Bruce, what a beautiful collection of trees and how well it hides your neighbors property. It makes your back yard look like it borders a woodland. I have about 30 feet of backyard before I abut my lot line but I live on top of a hill, actually almost a cliff so all I see is the top of my neighbor's roof which is a three story house! And then I have a clear view of the Boston skyline about 7 miles away so I carefully keep my trees pruned to give me a "window" to that view. - martha

Mr. Sundram has a gorgeous home, Yew! (And that orange flowered vine is spectacular indeed.)

Most Bauhinia are trees or shrubs but B kockiana is a vine and as I mentioned earlier, a native of Malaysia. The Bauhinia blakeana is called the Orchid Tree as the flowers are coloured 'lavender' or orchid purple and from afar look like orchids (?). It is the state flower of Hong Kong and widely grown as roadside trees there.

I put a small pot of live mealworms out every morning during the Spring. These two are the first to arrive. The European Robin is quite tame and will take worms off my hand! The youngsters will put in an appearance anytime now.

Gorgeous! I have a thing for mushrooms too. Haven't got to do so for a while, though.
