Wow! Beautiful. So envious. I have one but it is about a year away from blooming. Hope mine is as beautiful as yours. Thanks for sharing.

Went to an orchid show from the Catalan Orchid Society (of which I finally have become a member) and beside an Odontoglossum, a Brassia and a Miltonidium (that I will post in other posts), I also got me this one:
Besides the two open flowers, it has two more to open. Will they all be open at the same time?
Love these long petals.

Oh my word, that is amazing! I usually only see the petals with the long winding look....I am in love with the curly top sepal as well. And if the flowers aren't lovely enough the plant would be pretty enough by itself. Lucky you!
Beautiful!!!
Such a beauty!
Such an elegant orchid bloom. Love all of the phrags. Great addition!!
cheers,
BD
Thank you. Today it has lost the lowest bloom. I don't know if I did something wrong or if it just was it's time to drop. They have this habit of just dropping withouit wilting. I don't know how long is has been open. I will only be able to tell from the blooms that open under my care.
I often read that phrags have to stand with their feet in water. Is this true? I'm a bit afraid of doing this, so perhaps I'm keeping her too dry. I have some water in the bottom of the outer pot, but the inner pot doesn't touch it. I water it twice a week with rain water (I'm running out of it now, and it doesn't look like it will be raining in the next days).
