    Default Some advise regarding flasking

I Flask seeds of several species on media #723 to which add some coconut water. I did follow the book regarding preparation and sterilization of the media. I did test the media for one week and no contamination. I did seed after a week of the preparation of the media and I am noticing now that in some flask there is quite a good amount of free liquid which was not there at flasking time. Also I did notice in one flask the liquid with a milky coloration. Can any expert in the matter tell me what is join on ? The flasking already run in its 10 day. I do not notice any fungi or bacteria growth.

well, i am no expert in fact i am just doing my first flasking on commercial media. i am using p668.
well, depends on type of orchids, some may take a couple of months for germination. as long as you do not have bacterial or fungal contamination, all you got to do now is wait.
i notice my p668 media is having those white milky stuff that you mentioned, but so far i dun think it is interfering with the seeds. but i am still waiting for mine to germinate. mine is about near to two months old.
good luck and i hope to hear opinion from other experienced member as well
