    Default Onc. Catante 'Pumpkin Patch'

I love this orchid and it is putting on a nice show this time. The flowers on the spike reach 22 inches from the green clip in the stake to the flower tip.

Bill, should I ever decide to divide it, I shall try to keep you in mind.

Very lovely. Mine has finished blooming and is growing a new pseudobulb. I hope I'll get many flowers next season.

    Default My Catatante in Uk

Here in the Uk my Catatante Pumkin Patch blooms Sept to Oct after growing in the Summer and when our nights start drawing in and evening temp drops as soon as the sun goes down . This seems to induce flowering. Then it rests through our clod winter, just keeping bulbs plump throughout. Now its quite a size but only ever seems to throw one or sometimes two stalks out.
Question would splitting it now put new life into it as I lost part of the p,ant years back and its all on one side of the pot ,approx 25cm. ?
