The same day as the Baptistonia echinata I also bought this Dendrobium densiflorum. The new cane it was growing then is almost mature now. I hope it will bloom this fall/winter.

Me too, but isn't she too small yet?
Jesus, sorry to say that, but looking at your plant, I think, your plant is not Dendr, densiflorum. The pseudobulbs of densiflorum are much bigger and square in the cross-section.
I think you're right. A densiflorum has also got more leaves, I think. I'll mail the vendor to clear this up.

I've just mailed the vendor. I'll let you know his answer.

I think it's Dendr. farmeri.
The vendor has answered that it is a Dendrobium densiflorum. It's a young division of his motherplant. Time will tell if he's right. He's also a member of the same orchid society as I am, so I'll see him often.

No, it's not a farmeri. I've got several of those and they are very different.
look, it's my Dendr. densiflorum. Do you see the diffrent on the stem? Your is in the middle swollen and round, not square.
Mietek I see what you mean. I had seen this while googling for the densiflorum. I guess I'll just take the vendor's word for true. Hevsay with time, the new canes will br bigger, square and with four leaves or more. Time will tell and I'll surely update on this item.
Schöne Grüsse
Just a small plant at this moment difficult to say could be anything maybe need to wait another 4 months the truth will be revealed.
