    Default Dendrobium smilliae

This Dendrobium is from Papua New Guinea. This is the first flowering with only one spike.

I'm sure next season you'll get more blooms. Keep on doing what you do.

Yew, somehow it reminds me of an aquatic plant or maybe frog eggs in the water. Whatever. It is beautiful in a different way.

Very nice specimen. These are also found quite commonly along the north Queensland coast, often in the dryer country above freshwater creek lines.

I have a specimen of the pink flowered form. Mine flowers the spring after a cane loses its leaves. It seems to grow one year, stay green the second, in the fall of the second year the leaves drop off, and then flower the third year, just in time for the local orchid show. It is very photogenic, and attracts a lot of attention.
