Another dendrob species in bloom. It has an interesting sweet fragrance too. When I first had this species, I killed it after 2 years. Later on, after building the greenhouses, I discover that for many dendrobs, they grow well at warm temperatures, like to be kept drier than other orchids but need humidity to keep their roots alive. They also love light, lot of light in order to bloom! And they also love heavy fertilizer doses during growth (late spring/summer/early fall months) but when they start their resting cycle, oh boy, water alone is enough! Tricky tricky plants. After figuring that out, most of them are now very happy!
Cheers. Hoa.
PS. Slim picking this week since I am very busy, did not have enough time to take pictures...
