UPDATE
Ronny's home was severely damaged...roof is gone as well as windows. They are choosing not to evacuate. They are getting in desperate need of food and water. Friends and family, in other parts of the Philippines are trying to get supplies to them this coming weekend. Hopefully they will be successful for it is my understanding that chaos rules at the moment.
They are luckier than many. The reports from Tacloban, his area, is disheartening. It will be months before infrastructure is back in place. Please consider donating to aid associations that are helping.
Ron, thaks for your update.
In the midst of all this darkness is the light of all your love and kindness pouring into my country from all over the world. Though unaffected by the typhoon, I am also a Filipino. Thank you all for your generosity and selflessness at this time when my countrymen are in dire need. May God bless you and reward you a hundredfold.

Hi guys,
thanks for your thoughts and special thanks to my evil twin!
I already left a longer message on the thread Ron had started.
It was a helluva ride during the typhoon and more so after, but others weren't so lucky. We were able to shelter more than 20 neighbors during the onslaught and everybody came out all right! Walking through the city afterwards, and weeks after is still a nightmare and things will never be the same.
I am just staying positive and we all have to move on, easier said than done, but no choice really...
So yeah, we are still battling and winning!
cheers to all of you,
Ron
So happy to hear from you Ron and to know that you and your family are alright.
