    I have heard both.

Water the bloom and don't water the bloom.

I guess I am looking for guidance now. Which is best?

In nature, blooms get wet when rain falls.

Kim, you and I are alike. Way too easy on wanting. And I am weak on top of liking almost everything. So my collection has grown very fast and as I open more growing space, I buy more.

So many orchids, so little space.

One day when I divide it, I'll send you one of its progeny.

The only plants you can buy at our garden centres are mainly phals and a few common dendrobiums. Must be wonderful to go to the local store and get a good selection.
    Lovely paph---I'm envious!!!

Thanks! I couldn't walk past it without buying it!

The problem is that I find myself at the garden center every other day. And that gets expensive!

2 weeks ago I bought 7 orchids. Last week 2. This week so far 5 (3 more from orchids dot com and 2 from my garden center).

I am at 30 orchids already. I have got to stop buying for a while at least.

I had decided that I wouldn't buy any more until my bug issue was taken care of. I had found about a total of 8 mealy bugs (immature) and 1 aphid. I haven't found any bugs over the last 4 days, so I am certain, any bug issue will be minor.

Now the story the garden center gave me yesterday on their orchids (their other locations don't have them) is that the space the orchids reside is rented to a former orchid brick and mortar store owner who's store closed. The clerk, as if I needed any further encouragement, said that the "orchid guy will be here Tuesday, so check back for a new selection". Thanks!!!

I find it difficult to go passed any Paph, so I do not blame you for buying it.

I was just going to comment on the cross but see Ray has already noted about spicerianum.
    Very nice Paph!
