Thank you pavel & harvey for sharing photos...we are in tropics and other side is always green...
Thanks for sharing.
A few from the Christmas parade in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario
And a picture of the ice build-up at the Niagara Falls Welcome Center - the mist from the falls covers everything and freezes! Sorry it is a bit blurry, I was trying to take pictures while shivering
Tried adding these yesterday but the OT system wouldn't allow it. OT insisted on trying to combine the posts which would then put me over the photo limit.
For those unfamiliar with the effect, the blue shadows on the snow in the following photos is accurate. I have my suspicions as to the science behind the phenomenon but will not bore you with it.
Ah Nicole, that Niagara photo! On my way up to my parents' place, there was a section of highway where the trees had all been heavily glazed with ice from an ice storm. Even as heavily overcast as it was, they were absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, there was no place to pull over and taking photos while driving would have been rather unwise (to understate things). Else I would have happily have stopped and have spent some time taking photos!
LOVE those creek shots, Harvey!
I ALMOST miss OHIO. Almost.
Well this year is pretty dry so far. But I have one picture from our drive (with the hoarfrost) the other day and a couple from previous years I can share.
Here are a few from Red Rocks Park, Morrison, Colorado. A few years back.
BTW- World Famous Red Rocks Amphitheater is here. Superb outdoor venue!
