great looking c.maxima. are these the long cane ones or short cane one?. I have just bought a short cane ones and was told to grow in vanda light. how do you grow these?

Those are both beautiful. I'm putting them on my wish list.
Personally I don't have C. maxima in my collection.
Looking at the images of yours I'm tempted to try.
I'm in love with the coerulea variety. It looks like the color is a real blue and not like most other coerulea flowers a bluish purple.
Further it look like they like the Guangzhou climate.
Hi Ksriamkumar, the coerulea form is low land type(long cane) and the other is high land type(short cane). C.maxima is one of the most easy growing cattleya, as well as most cattleya hybride.

Hi Horst, C.maxima is a must-have cattleya for a orchid lover. Most cattleya like climate of Guangzhou.
