I don't know if you could call it that Zainal but I read somewhere that the flower is so packed with petals that the natural fertilization is very hard to come by. The usual pomegranate has simple single flowers like the guava. I don't think it is infertile. An expert once wrote that the double-flowered ones provide little, if any fruit at all. Perhaps one day I will see a single fruit hanging from the tree.

Very tricky and interesting I hope one day you can see huge fruits from abnormal flowers.

I've had it for many years now. It's about 20 feet tall already, Zainal. No fruit at all, so far.

The pomegranate flowers are beautiful ! Your JVB cross is really lovely and so well grown(judging by the number of flowers) and the frequency of blooming. Congrats, Angel. I thought I have seen enough of JVB crosses not to be easily impressed but yours has the 'WOW' factor - good form, good colour, great flower count and so free flowering! You have a winner there.
