It might be worth hijacking the plane to see Hoa in his speedo, but as he hasn't posted any photos, the jury's still out...

Anyone going to the Fascination of Orchids show down in Costa Mesa in a couple of weeks?? I figured Hoa and his speedo would be there.... I'd like to go, but I may be on yet another airplane.
Tim - get ready for company!!!!!

Oh dear ...
Is this a bait from you guys, tricking me into posting a picture of me in speedo? Just kidding! In time, forum friends! Maybe some drinks will help ... or I could give you guys the key to my stash of pictures (that include orchids, family and friends, and my vacation pictures, i.e. me in something close to a speedo....
I go to this show every year since it used to be held at the Crate & Barel wing of the South Coast Plaza Mall in Costa Mesa, which is like 6-7 blocks away from my house! This year, I have to go to a conference in Washington DC from Feb 11-15. So the most I could do is skipping work and going to check out the show on Friday morning. They change the venue this year too, shorten the length of the show (instead of 4 days, now only 3 days), and charge admission. That is just plain terrible!
This is a very good show to go. I bought so many plants from this show and that was how I got addicted to orchids. On the last day and last 2-3 hours, certain growers (mostly Hawaiian commercial growers) slash their prices to 50% off. And I just bought and bought until I could not carry anymore! Then I was stuck with trying to figure out how to keep those suckers ALIVE! They could afford to do this since their overhead cost appears to be very low. My friends told me that orchids just grow like weeds in Hawaii! No greenhouse, nothing! Under shade cloths and that is enough!
There are other orchid shows in March. Oh yes, the Santa Barbara show should be fantastic!
Cheers. Hoa.
Hoa,
I'll be in Charleston, SC from the 10th, through the 12th. I'm connecting through DC on Fri and Mon, so I can check out your speedo in the airport.
Just let me know what color to look for, and what treasured bloom will be peeking out of it.
Julie
Oh Dear Julie ...
You are such a treasure!
I am afraid that I could not comply. I will fly in Baltimore on Saturday and the conference starts on Sunday so by Monday, I will be so stuck in it... There is always a next time though ...
Emergency services are always available, should I not yet have arrived!Originally Posted by Hoa Tony Nguyen

All right then, may I change my wording?
... I would be so occupied by the proceedings, meetings, talks, presentations, networking, lunch and dinner, etc... It would take an exceptional excuse to get away, change into my speedo and rush to the airport to meet you!
Hehehe... Hoa.
OOOH! A big shot!! That's how he can afford all the orchids. Too bad we will both miss the show, I would like to meet you (and all the other crazies here) sometime. The Santa Barbara show might work, although I believe I will be back in Japan at that time. Have to check on the dates.... BUMMER - 24th through 26th of March... I'll be in Tokyo. This travel thing just isn't fair!
gee nobody ever even suggested they'd consider meeting me at ANY airport in anything approaching a speedo......
Diane, if you arrive in Sydney on a Tuesday or a Friday between 7 and 8pm, I may have to rush from swimming and not have time to change... so you may be unlucky enough to be picked up at the airport by a guy in speedos
Speedos? Plural? Tim?
Where do you wear the others?
