    Default Dendrobium Gatton Sunray

Bloomed for me last year but poorly, this year I was surprised by large bloom size, one of the leafless canes is starting to spike also, getting to be a tall plant, never knew what kind of light to give it so slowly moved it to higher light levels, gets full sun until noon and then light shade.Name: den gaton 1 (Copy).jpg

A very old cross but still as beautiful as ever - very few modern hybrids can compete with it. This Dendrobium is the oldest plant in my collection; had it since 1962 . My friends and I grow it in full sun

Ed, I've seen this growing in hot conditions & canes with crazy length, 5 - 6 feet. Plant couldn't be move to take to show.
I used to have a plant growing in similar temps I have now, 10c ( 50f) min. with canes to 18inches & flowering just as well as the giant plant. Its very versatile. Wish I had the plant now.
    Yours is great.
