    Default Dark spots Vanda leaves

I bought 7 strap leaf Mokara from a nursery. I noticed that its under direct sun compared to other nursery with shade, the leaves have dark spots though its firm and healthy with good roots. I asked the caretaker if its fungus. She said its because of the sun that is why the leaves were like that since owner prefer not to have shade. Is it really normal for mokara or strap leaf to have dark spots on leaves (tiny) is it bec of the sun or its fungus? All of the Strap leaf in their place are like that and leaves are yellow green compared to vandas. They grow it in drift wood same with the vandas (semi terete) though it has no dark spots, leaves are green.

I have had my Vandas outside for the summer so far (beneath a translucent overhang), and they all have dark little spots on the axis of the top leaves but otherwise are adjusting; I would say it is the light intensity...

I noticed that my Ascocenda has two black spots on it as well. When I bought it, it already had a spot that dried up and I noticed today that there's another one. This one is soft and moist on the inside. How to treat it? Please help

Soft and moist is mostly a bacterial infection. use hydrogen peroxide or physan 20 and then can seal it with cinnamon powder so that it does spread

I sprayed it this morning with physan 20 that I found in my storage closet. Does it have a shelf life? I had a bottle for years and haven't had to use it till now. The black spots appear to be drying up nicely since the treatment.

I also spread in between the leafs as well. There's either dirt or older traces of of rot in the leaf axles. And I also noticed that it's sending out a new leaf as well 🙌. YAY ME!

I am not sure of the shelf life for Physan 20 but it was unopened I think that will extend the shelf life a bit due to less oxidation etc. I am glad that the black spots seem to be drying up. Physan 20 worked on my Vanda and I followed up with some cinnamon on the spots as well.

How often should I be using Physan 20? I don't know much about it. I'm getting ready to repot my coconut orchid this week sometime. Can it be sprayed on the roots as a protective treatment from what ever I may have?

I looked up Orchid disease on another thread and I do have brown spot what ever. I'll make sure that it doesn't spread to my other plants.
