    Default Bulbophyllum Jersey

Hi all! I've had this Bulbo for years and it has grown and grown and grown some more...never a single spike. New growth started a week or two ago and I was just getting around to an overdue repotting this weekend. Those new growths had elongated and lost their flat paddle like shape! I'm probably shooting myself in the foot here, but I counted around 30 spikes! Cross your fingers for me that they make it to blooming!

I have had only only orchid that had trouble getting to flower from bud.

I'd say, just keep doing what you did to get the plant to where it is and it will make it to bloom.

Well one thing is for sure, you sure got a Damn healthy bulbo there!

I have no bulbo in my care, but maybe it needs some cold and then hot weather for it to force bloom.

Some Bulbos start to bloom when they reach a really big size. Your plant is doing great . Please don't repot it now
and good luck!!! Keep my fingers crossed

Is'nt it a wonderful surprise when an orchid finally spikes for you and in such a dramatic way? I'll cross my fingers for ya and wish you luck, but I doubt if you'll need it. The plant looks great and ready to go! AL

I'm just so happy that its going to bloom AT ALL really...I thought I'd gotten a mule. It doesn't have a clonal name, so I have no clue how the flowers will be. I put off the repotting although it really needs it. The blooms don't last very long anyway I imagine. I will certainly post pics in the appropriate subforum when things move along a bit further!
