Thanks I will check, but the site I linked to was not a commercial site, it is a forum just like this one.

I'm not speaking for the brass here, Tindo, but the contest prize was donated by a grower and it was a pretty overt push for that grower's products.

On some forums that's perfectly fine, but the RVO guys have been burned in the past with wonton self-promotion so they instituted a strict no-promo/no-vendors-mentioned policy. PM's are fine if anyone wants to learn more. You just can't post things that promote another orchid business.

I understand, I guess I just didnt read where the Orchid was coming from,

I am a member of the other forum which is holding the contest, but I have nothing to do with the contest itself. I just figured people here would like to participate too.

But thanks for letting me know what I did wrong. I'll try to be more careful next time.
