The neighborhood jackfruit tree laden with huge fruit.
We picked a 7-kilo fruit 5 days before it was fully ripe.

Hahaha...you are right on, Jervis. There are two trees in my neighborhood. Since nobody claims ownership to either one, we all share in the bounty.
Thats better than letting it rot to waste on the tree.
Why dont you share the Blessing up to my side of town...hahaha...happy eating! But becareful, eating too much is not good for your cholesterol and uric acid!
Jervis, if you were just next door, why not? Uric acid aside, I'm more worried about the indigestion because of too much "langka". Hahahaha
wow ...so many fruits and yet untouched by pest even they are not wrapped!! Looks yummy and fantastic. here is you were to leave any of those cempedak or nangka unwrapped, most of the time you would end up having half of the fruit as the other half would be damaged.
You are right, Ian. Even over here it is common practice to wrap them in sacks. Actually, the old woman living in the house nearest the trees used to wrap the fruit in straw sacks. However, she has moved to another house and since then nobody has tended to the fruit. However, the fruits have been perfectly OK since. Just lucky maybe.
