Wow. Great collection of Catesetum. Did not know you have a great collection of ctsms.too. great job.
Thank you for your words and likes, dear friends!
thanks! Well, I really fell inl love with Catasetums two years ago or so.
Here is another plant in my collection, Clo. Pierre Couret (Cl. Rebecca Northen ‘Grapefruit Pink’ x Ctsm. v. imperiale ‘SVO Blood Red’)
First bloomed in 2012.
Last year bloomed with three spikes/ just about one year ago:
The same plant today. One of the three divisions received more sunshine that other two. I guess this is why its p-bulbs are so yellow.
You have a great collection Natali! Very healthy plants too.
Looks like a very nice collection, Natalie. I don't have anything in the Catasetum alliance but hope to acquire one or more in the next year or so. I had the chance to talk to Fred a bit ago and was very impressed by his kindness and knowledge.
Thank you for your response, Wade!
I have same feeling about Fred, too. I learned a lot from him and Alexis Pardo and every meeting\every conversation was impressed by their kindness, knowledge and generosity to share these knowledge. This is why I grow my Catasetums much better now.
WOW - just WOW! Beautiful catasetum orchids!
cheers,
BD
