I bought this Paphiopedilum delenatii November 2013 in bloom. It has made me happy by blooming one of 2 buds it grew. The first bud dropped off as it was starting to open. The second bud opened though it can still stretch its petals back some more. There is another new growth that is mature enough to bloom this season. Other young growths exist on this one too.

Beautiful. I hope mine will rebloom soon - sheath is showing.
My potting media is bark, charcoal, coconut husk chunks and sponge/lava rock (perlite).
I just discovered 2 things about this paph.
1) It has a fragrance that reminds me of roses
2) another spike is growing from another of the new growths.
Thats a very healthy delanatii. looking fwd to the blooms.
Love this species so pretty including the foliage.
Very nice and healthy plant. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful. I bought one of these earlier this year. It's still small. I hope to have blooms next year.
