Should I put the rescue orchids on same shelves as other orchids

I am such a happy orchid newbie - I haven't lost any plants yet(since July) - not even one of the 6 rescues from a 'store' - I have been keeping them separate from my nursery plants but am considering putting the rescues on the same shelves - looking for opinions. I am never going to clone or hybridize or show or sell plants - if the 'rescues' have viruses(went to a talk on orchid viruses back in August - was very depressing!) does it really make a difference? It would make them easier to care for all in one place - and to look at! I don't even care right now that only one is in bloom - like to look at the plants just the way they are. (so uniquely funky!

How long have you been keeping 6 rescue plants separately? if more than a month and you do not see any sign of fungus, bacterial infection,pest etc, you can safely introduce them to your existing collection.

Don't over concern about virus.

Keep in mind on this site that sharing pics of ur orchids is equivalent to sharing pics of kids and grandkids and pets..... lol.

As long as they don't touch each other, you don't get insect pests, or share water in any way between plants (dunking or splashing, for example), there is no issue with the spreading of orchid viruses.

Thank you all so much!! so far(about 6 weeks) all rescues are bug/fungus etc free...I will put them on a separate shelf and enjoy them all together - will not be sharing tools or water etc...the rescues actually get dunked because they are bigger but I am pouring to the other ones and can continue that easily.
